Bachelor Entrepreneurship

In the Bachelor’s degree programme “Entrepreneurship”, students are specifically prepared to think and act entrepreneurially. The degree programme is aimed at everyone who wants to develop their own business ideas, found or take over companies, drive innovation and actively help shape economic and social transformation.

The degree programme prepares students for activities at the interfaces of innovation, business development and social transformation. Graduates acquire business, analytical and entrepreneurial skills in order to transform new ideas into sustainable business models, products and organizations. Possible professional fields include founding their own startups, business succession, innovation and business development management, project and transformation management, as well as consulting in the areas of innovation, digitalization and sustainability.

Teamwork, real-life challenges and self-organized learning play a central role.

The project modules are supplemented by courses in business administration, entrepreneurship, data science, statistics, finance, law and management. Key study contents include entrepreneurship, innovation and startup management, business model innovation, design thinking and lean startup, marketing for entrepreneurs, investment and finance, business succession, change management, strategic management, business law, contract design, negotiation, statistics and data science.

A practical semester in the fifth semester enables students to apply the knowledge they have acquired in companies, startups or as part of their own startup project. In the sixth semester, students can complete a semester abroad or make use of individual elective options at HWR Berlin. The programme concludes in the seventh semester with the Bachelor’s thesis.

Applications are possible for the winter semester each year. The degree programme is aimed at prospective students with an interest in economic contexts, innovation, sustainable transformation and entrepreneurial responsibility.
