KI-InnoX Represented at the IHK Future Forum 2026

On September 2, 2026, the IFAF collaborative research project KI-InnoX participated in the IHK Berlin Future Forum "Weltmetropole Berlin" (Global Metropolis Berlin). At the #ai_Berlin Showroom, the project team from HWR Berlin presented its research and exchanged ideas with representatives from business, politics, and public administration about the use of artificial intelligence in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Engaging with Berlin's SME Sector

Discussions focused on the specific challenges Berlin-based companies face when using AI in their everyday business operations.

Topics included the factors influencing the selection of suitable AI applications, the role of AI in business succession and organizational transformation, and the support SMEs need to get started with AI.

The discussions highlighted the importance of practical approaches, concrete use cases, and suitable opportunities for companies to experiment with AI technologies.

New Insights for the Research Project

The exchange led to new contacts and valuable insights for KI-InnoX's ongoing research and knowledge transfer activities.

These include the planned case studies and practical testing formats through which the project aims to investigate specific decision-making situations and challenges associated with AI adoption in businesses.

The event also provided opportunities to connect with other exhibitors, Berlin-based AI startups, and stakeholders from the #ai_Berlin network.

Bridging Research and Practice in AI

KI-InnoX was represented at the event by Dr. Julia Koch, Bijan Mahdavi, and Falko Carl from HWR Berlin.

The research project investigates how companies can select suitable AI tools and manage AI-related transformation processes responsibly.

The project team would like to thank IHK Berlin and Henrik Holst for the opportunity to present KI-InnoX and foster exchange between academia and industry.
